THE PERFECT FIT
A Riley O'Brien & Co Novella
Jenna Sutton
Released April 5th, 2016

Zeke May has spent the past two years recovering from an IED attack and trying to adjust to life as a civilian. The veteran hiring program at denim empire Riley O’Brien & Co. offers a new beginning. The only problem is the high cost of housing in San Francisco, and Margo Lange could be the perfect solution.

Now that Margo has completed veterinary school, she’s ready to fulfill her dream of living in the Bay Area. Unfortunately, she’s drowning in student loan debt and the only places she can afford are dumps. Luckily, one of her uncle’s Army buddies needs a roommate.

Although Zeke’s place is a perfect fit for Margo’s budget, he is not what she expects. He’s much younger than her uncle, and he’s melt-your-panties hot. She doesn’t want to fall for him, but it doesn’t take her long to realize that Zeke is the perfect fit for her, regardless of their age gap. Too bad he’s so obviously still in love with his ex-wife…

A good short read
Zeke May, a veteran recovering from an IED attack, is still trying to adjust to his new life after two years in a new city. The problem being, San Francisco is an expensive place to live.  When he takes on a new roommate, the niece of an army buddy who’s just starting her career as a veterinarian, he’s unprepared for the energetic bundle of positivity that is Margo Lange.
For Margo, moving to this city has been a lifelong dream. Starting her career under a mountain of school loans, she can’t afford a safe apartment without taking on a roommate. When her uncle recommends Zeke May, she’s expecting someone older, not a man who distracts her to the n’th degree.
The author has done a wonderful job of dealing with very sensitive subject matter, namely disfigurement and PTSD. One could easily see themselves in that position dealing with the day to day worries and catastrophes.
The characters were fully developed with great tension between them and in a real world setting. The author did a good job of engaging all the senses as the scenes unfolded.
I would like to have seen some of the scenes more fully developed, instead of leaving you wondering what happened or given a report-like manner after the fact.
I was given this book in return for a fair and honest review. I’d give this book four stars.
